Sewing with Sandel

Sandel® fabrics are primarily designed to be cut and sewn. The fire performance of products fabricated with Sandel may depend on the seams or joints retaining their strength during a fire.

For best results,

Sandel can also be glued to either itself or other materials. The fire performance of products that incorporate Sandel is decreased when glues are used without other mechanical fasteners or sewn seams, clamps and screws. Glued surfaces will open when exposed to fire and at relatively low temperatures. Sandel's technical staff can provide suitable glues or make recommendations should you require this type of fabrication.

Sandel is well suited for lamination. Bond and peel strengths can be made to suit many different applications. Sandel International can provide lamination service at.
